Artist Statement I am always looking for ways to challenge my perspective and to see differently. For my series titled Weaving a Childhood Presence, I was inspired by childhood creativity. I went about making photographs that reflected multiple facets of a child: their perspective, their memories, and their wild imagination. As we grow older, we often forget how to see through the eyes of another, limiting our frame of mind. In this series, I incorporate a stuffed rabbit into select images, weaving a childhood presence throughout the photos: I create a living, breathing, multi-dimensional child. I attempt to renew the connection with the childhood viewpoint for both myself and my viewers.
